🌟 NextGen Women Leaders Alumna Spotlight 🌟
Harist Berinyuy | Cameroon 🇨🇲

For Harist, participating in the NextGen Women Leaders Fellowship has been a transformative journey of growth and empowerment. As a social impact leader and entrepreneur, she entered the program seeking to strengthen her leadership capacity — and left with greater clarity, confidence, and strategic direction.
Through the fellowship, Harist gained practical tools to elevate both her business and leadership skills. Developing the habit of daily journaling helped her track progress, reflect intentionally, and build a clearer vision for her life and work. One of the most powerful mindset shifts came from consistently asking herself: Am I becoming the person I want to be right now? This practice strengthened her self-awareness and leadership presence.
A defining highlight of her experience was participating in the Lightning Talks, where she shared her story of resilience and entrepreneurial challenges. Presenting her project, Clean Water for All Powered by Solar Energy, allowed her to connect with and inspire fellow participants while refining her impact strategy.
With the guidance of her mentor, Dr. Mireille, Harist developed actionable strategies that helped her successfully complete the first phase of her project — focusing on awareness-building and community engagement. Witnessing the positive response from her community affirmed the fellowship’s impact on her leadership journey.
Harist’s experience reflects the mission of the NextGen Women Leaders Fellowship: equipping women with the skills, confidence, and support needed to lead meaningful change and create lasting impact in their communities and beyond. 🤍
