NextGen Women Leaders Fellowship | Community Impact Spotlight
Tarunima Mondal Trisha | Bangladesh 🇧🇩

At United Leaders Global, Fellows turn leadership training into meaningful community impact. As part of the Class of 2025, Tarunima Mondal Trisha led an important initiative focused on student mental health awareness and suicide prevention.
Recognizing the growing mental health challenges faced by young students, Trisha organized a 30-minute awareness workshop at Govt. Jalma Chakrakhali Secondary School in Khulna, designed to help teachers and students better understand, identify, and respond to suicidal tendencies among youth.
The session addressed some of the root causes behind student mental health struggles, including academic pressure, bullying, family conflict, social isolation, and emotional trauma. By opening dialogue around these sensitive topics, the workshop helped normalize conversations about mental health and promote early intervention.
The workshop included:
🧠Awareness about causes of student suicidal thoughts
⚠️ Guidance on identifying warning signs such as withdrawal, behavioral changes, and emotional distress
đź’¬ Training on supportive and non-judgmental communication
🤝 Interactive role-play activities to practice teacher-student support conversations
📞 Sharing of national mental health helplines and support resources
Through these activities, teachers gained confidence in recognizing early warning signs and supporting vulnerable students, while students reported feeling more comfortable discussing mental health challenges.
Through the NextGen Women Leaders Fellowship, Trisha strengthened her ability to facilitate sensitive discussions, build empathy-driven leadership, and create safe spaces for dialogue within her community.
This is the impact of United Leaders Global — empowering young women leaders to address critical social challenges and foster healthier, more supportive communities.
