NextGen Women Leaders Fellowship | Community Impact Spotlight

Nathalie Furaha | Democratic Republic of the Congo 🇨🇩

At United Leaders Global, Fellows transform leadership training into tangible community action. As part of the Class of 2025, Nathalie led a powerful initiative focused on advancing women’s leadership and social entrepreneurship in Bukavu.

Nathalie organized a training session on social and inclusive entrepreneurship, designed to raise awareness among women and girls about entrepreneurship as a pathway to economic empowerment and community impact.

Recognizing that women’s leadership is essential to socio-economic development, Nathalie created a space where participants could strengthen their leadership skills, explore entrepreneurial opportunities, and build supportive networks.

The training included:
đź’ˇ Awareness-building on social and inclusive entrepreneurship
📚 Case studies of successful social enterprises
🎤 Experience-sharing from entrepreneurship experts
🤝 Interactive group discussions and peer exchange
🌱 Networking to foster collaboration and mutual support

As a result, participants developed a stronger understanding of leadership and entrepreneurship principles, while building a community of women committed to mutual growth. Several attendees expressed their intention to launch social impact initiatives — a clear sign of the training’s effectiveness.

Through mentorship and leadership development within the NextGen Women Leaders Fellowship, Nathalie transformed her vision into a structured initiative that empowers women to lead change within their communities.

This is the impact of United Leaders Global — equipping young women to drive inclusive, sustainable development from the ground up.
